Strong writing doesn’t start with a draft—it starts with thinking, talking, sketching, and shaping ideas. In this session, we’ll rethink the planning stage of the writing process, exploring multimodal tools, structures, and routines that support students before they write. You’ll leave with inclusive, classroom‑ready strategies to support writers of all abilities from idea to draft. This experience will include connections to ELAL and Social Studies mentor texts found in your schools.
